Lee County Archers had 2 archers compete in the 2024 Florida State Outdoor 720 Championship on July 6th in Newberry Florida at the Easton Archery Center. Tim Walker took gold in the 60+ Men’s recurve class setting a new state record even beating the 50+ recurve men. John Lackey took silver in the highly competitive men’s barebow 50+ class competing against other men decades his junior! Conditions were brutal with a heat index over 105°, hydration was the theme of the day! Over 100 archers competed in the tournament setting a new attendance record.
